KIRKWOOD, Mo. – Two best friends are splitting $178,000 after winning the Show Me Cash jackpot prize.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on July 23 at a Walmart in Kirkwood, located at 1202 South Kirkwood Road.
“He’s my best friend and my playing partner,” one of the winners said, sharing that his friend was the one to purchase the lucky ticket at Walmart.
The winning numbers the night of July 23 were 10, 25, 29, 34, and 39.
The day after the drawing, the man who purchased the ticket called his friend and revealed that they had won the $178,000 jackpot after matching all five numbers.
“It was amazing!” he said. “It was just like, what are the odds?”
The winner who purchased the ticket said he plans to pay off his debt with the winnings.
