BERKELEY, Mo. – A 45-year-old man is dead after a shooting Sunday night in Berkeley.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. Sunday night as the Berkeley Police Department responded to reports of shots being fired in the 6100 block of Jefferson Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found a man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
