PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis. (WFRV) — A beloved cheese curd-topped burger is returning to Culver’s for a limited time as the Wisconsin-based fast food chain debuts a new twist on cheese curds in honor of National Cheese Curd Day.

Culver’s first created the holiday, which lands on October 15, in 2015.

To celebrate the day this year, Culver’s will debut new Hot Honey Cheese Curds. The curds, which will only be available for a limited time starting on October 15, will feature all the “deliciousness of Culver’s signature Wisconsin Cheese Curds with just a touch of sweet heat from a hot honey breading.”

“At Culver’s, October means Wisconsin Cheese Curds—and this year, we wanted to bring our guests the best celebration of curds yet,” said Julie Fussner, chief marketing officer at Culver’s. “We’ve championed cheese curds for decades, and we’re always looking for ways to deliver uniquely delicious curd experiences to our guests. We can’t wait to see everyone’s response to the new Hot Honey Cheese Curds.”

Before the newest curds hit the Culver’s menu, a burger that was once just an April Fool’s Day joke will make its return.

The CurderBurger, a Deluxe ButterBurger topped with a golden-fried cheese curd-like patty, will be available for purchase at all locations nationwide from October 1 to October 14 or while supplies last.

You can visit the Culver’s website to find the location nearest you.
