KSNF/KODE — A Branson resort is the focus of the Better Business Bureau’s latest warning.

BBB officials recently gave Foxborough Resort an “F” rating, due to unanswered and unresolved complaints.

The bureau says the resort offers timeshare exit services and vacation club memberships.

However, consumers have told BBB the resort hosted high-pressure or misleading presentations and failed to cancel contracts.

Consumers have also reported getting signed up for a credit card they didn’t authorize and even charges to the card.

“Do your research before you go. BBB is a great place to start. You can go to BBB.org to see their BBB business profile, check their rating, and see what other consumers say. Make sure you know what you’re getting into,” said Pamela Hernandez, BBB Springfield Regional Director.

BBB also recommends taking time to read through the contract, step away to review it, and understand fully what you’re signing up for.

They also recommend checking with the timeshare resort you’re trying to leave to see if it offers a deed buyback program.

Timeshares are some of the most difficult contracts to get out of.
