MILLSTADT, Il. – The 23rd Annual Millstadt Optimist Barbecue and Chili Competition is taking place in Liederkranz Park from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Competitors are vying for top honors in ribs, pork, chili, and even snoots.
More than $5,000 in cash prizes are up for grabs.
Admission is $20 for adults, while kids 10 and under get in free.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Children’s Dyslexia Center.
