Ballwin police investigate series of overnight car break-ins

BALLWIN, Mo. – The Ballwin Police Department is investigating a series of overnight car break-ins that occurred from Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.

Police say there were nearly two dozen reports of break-ins or attempted break-ins from Ballwin residents in the Claymont subdivision.

Authorities say some cars were left unlocked, while others sustained broken windows. Many cars were rummaged through and had items stolen.

Detectives are currently investigating the break-ins and reviewing surveillance footage. Police have not yet disclosed any information on potential suspects.
