BALLWIN, Mo. – Four armed robbers wearing Halloween masks were caught on-camera stealing more than half a million dollars’ worth of valuable jewelry within minutes from a Ballwin store.

The suspects arrived to Dahab Jewelry Store in the 1400 block of Manchester Road around noon Saturday.

“The first one that came and rang the doorbell, had an old man mask on. I didn’t look twice; I buzzed the door (open) and it was too late to do anything as the second armed man came in at gun point,” Manager Islam Abdelmajed said.

As three individuals stuffed their bags with jewelry, two employees hid behind the counter as they were held at gunpoint by another person.

“He came in limping,” Abdelmajed said. “Caught me off guard.”

The family-owned jewelry store has been in Ballwin for almost four years. The owner is glad no one was injured but hopes police can catch those responsible.

“We are working hard to get everything…they took a lot of inventory and it’s sad,” he said.

The search continues as police look for the thieves who fled the scene in two vehicles. Anyone with information surrounding the incident is asked to contact police.
