ST. LOUIS — A south St. Louis bakery has made a name for itself, and not just for its tasty sweet treats. Laughing Bear Bakery on Utah Street in South St. Louis is helping reduce Missouri’s recidivism rate. The workers at the bakery are ex-offenders – men and women who served time in prison, and are now gainfully employed thanks to the bakery.

Fox 2’s Jasmine Huda spoke with Mike Gann, founding board member of Laughing Bear Bakery and a retired deputy warden from the Farmington Correctional Center, along with Larry and Eric, two of the bakery’s workers.
