WASHINGTON COUNTY, Mo. – An autopsy is planned for Friday for the woman found dead in Mark Twain National Forest.
Searchers found Donna Eye’s body on a farm in Potosi, near where a Washington County sheriff’s deputy dropped her off. Eye mistakenly thought that was her driveway.
The Mineral Area Major Case Squad is investigating and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is reviewing the deputy’s actions. The sheriff also plans to have an independent board investigate, including the policy about giving rides to civilians.
