HILLSBORO, Mo. – A Jefferson County Circuit Court judge signed an arrest warrant last week for an Imperial man wanted on child pornography charges.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office’s probable cause statement, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted detectives on March 7 about two videos containing child porn being uploaded to a Dropbox account belonging to Gregory Haegele (age not provided).
On March 22, authorities conducted a search of Haegele’s residence. While speaking with investigators, Haegele allegedly admitted to viewing the two videos in the Dropbox account and similar videos.
A forensic examination of Haegele’s devices uncovered 371 images and 92 videos of child pornography, including some involving bondage.
The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Haegele with two counts of possession of child pornography – first offense and one count of possession of child pornography – second or subsequent offense. Upon arrest, Haegele will be jailed on a $30,000 bond.
