Argument leads to rolling gunfire along I-270 in Bridgeton, one shot

BRIDGETON, Mo. – One person was shot after an argument led to rolling gunfire Wednesday along Interstate 270 in Bridgeton.

Investigators say one person was wounded and treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a hospital. The shooting apparently followed a dispute between individuals in two vehicles.

The Bridgeton Police Department reports that the shooting happened around 12:40 p.m. as two drivers were heading in the northbound lanes of I-270. Gunfire emerged on the interstate between St. Charles Rock Road and Missouri Bottom Road.


Sinkhole closes area roadway in south St. Louis

Police say that one individual shot into and at the driver of another vehicle. Police did not disclose if anyone returned gunfire.

The alleged shooter’s vehicle continued northbound on I-270 while the other came to a stop. Police say the gunperson was possibly in a white SUV with unknown license tags.
