FENTON, Mo. – A teenager faces felony charges after a hit-and-run crash earlier this week in Fenton that left the victim with serious injuries.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Jake Robinson, 19, with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and leaving the scene amid the investigation.

According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Robinson and the victim, a 45-year-old man, were outside of their vehicle arguing over undisclosed matters. At some point, Robinson reportedly drove his vehicle into the victim and left the scene.

The victim was “seriously injured” and rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators say a witness captured the crash on video, which helped officers later find Robinson in House Springs, Missouri.

Robinson has a court hearing scheduled for Friday, according to Missouri court records.

Officers with the St. Louis County Police Department City of Fenton Precinct are handling the investigation.
