CLAYTON, Mo. — An 18-year-old faces multiple felony charges for a string of burglaries and thefts that occurred this summer. Police say they used his ankle monitor to track him to each crime. Eugene Times, 18 is charged with 13 counts, including burglary, stealing firearms, motor vehicle theft, and credit card theft.
The crimes took place in south St. Louis County between mid-July and early August. Stolen property included three vehicles, three guns, credit cards, and other valuables.
Times, who was already under electronic monitoring for a pending case in St. Louis City, allegedly committed these crimes while wearing his ankle bracelet. When interviewed in custody, he denied involvement but reportedly asked an officer, “How do you know I was taking all those cars?”
According to the probable cause statement, GPS data from Times’ ankle monitor placed him at the scene of each crime. A fingerprint belonging to Times was also found on one of the stolen vehicles.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has set Times’ bond at $125,000 cash only.
