ST. LOUIS – The American Red Cross is in need of more volunteers to help with hurricane disaster relief efforts. The agency deployed resources and volunteers before Hurricane Helene made shore and is committed to providing long-term assistance as well.

“We’re looking for individuals to volunteer for a two-week deployment to work as a Red Cross volunteer,” Beth Elders, American Red Cross of Greater St. Louis, said. “It does require a little bit of training, a background check and application, and recognizing that you’re going to be in a pretty fast-paced and fluid environment.”

She added anyone with a passion for caring for and serving those impacted by Hurricane Helene can visit their website.
