ST. LOUIS – Iconic reality show “American Idol” will hold open call auditions for aspiring singers from Missouri and Illinois this Friday.

Anyone hoping to audition must submit an online application before Friday. From there, some lucky contestants will receive a follow-up email to arrange a virtual audition. American Idol producers will hold Zoom calls as part of a real-time audition.

Those who complete a virtual audition will get feedback from producers, but may not find out if they will advance to appear on the show until a later time, according to American Idol’s FAQs.
