ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Aldermen get an update Thursday on the St. Louis Justice Center.
The aldermen’s public safety committee will hear from city officials about issues at the jail. 14 inmates have died in the jail since 2020. There have also been riots, fires, and assaults on guards.
Members of the civilian oversight board have called for the resignation of corrections commissioner Jennifer Clemons-Abdullah.
