A comfortable Thursday with scattered rain chances overnight into Friday morning

ST. LOUIS – A comfortable fall day ahead Thursday with sunshine and temperatures in the low to mid 70s.

Another cold front arrives early Friday, and this will bring some scattered showers and perhaps rumbles of thunder overnight into Friday morning, especially along and north of I-70.

Rainfall totals still look light with less than a quarter of an inch. The speed of the cold front will impact afternoon temperatures, but St. Louis looks to spend enough time ahead of the front Friday to where temperatures will climb to the mid to upper 70s.

Our northern counties will most likely see temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70 F. Weekend temperatures will be in the mid-60s each day.

A big warm-up is expected into next week, where afternoon highs will be 15-20 degrees above normal. It’ll also get quite windy Tuesday and Wednesday.
