ST. LOUIS – Locals who enjoy spending their time on the padel and pickleball courts will soon be in luck, as the alleged largest club in the world is opening its doors later this month.
Padel + Pickle in Olivette combines the European game of padel with American pickleball to create an outlet for movement in racket sports.
The 14 courts, consisting of European-style panoramic and cushion master II courts, are set to be revealed to the public on Feb. 24 and 25, according to a news release.
“In our pursuit of creating the world’s largest indoor Padel and Pickleball facility, our vision was twofold: to introduce these thrilling racket sports to our community and to provide a hub for enthusiasts to come together, connect, and elevate their passion for the game,” Mike Puertas, founder, said in a news release.
Padel is considered a mix between tennis and squash, all based on strategy rather than strength. Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the U.S., according to the website. As a mix between tennis and badminton, it’s a simple game made for everyone.
