ALTON, Ill — A juvenile was shot this morning and was hospitalized in a St. Louis area hospital. The 13-year-old girl was harmed in a subdivision situated on Highland Ave., just off of Silver Street.
First responders administered life-saving measures at the scene before swiftly transporting her to the hospital. Later, she was flown to a St. Louis area hospital for further treatment. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Alton Police Department at 618-463-3505.
