JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Supreme Court will hear a challenge Thursday to the map of Missouri senate districts.
Every ten years, the state redraws district lines based on the census. After a citizen commission could not agree on a map, a panel of judges drew one up.
It divides the city of Hazelwood into two districts. Two people are suing the state, claiming the map is unconstitutional. The Missouri Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the case Thursday morning in Jefferson City.
