MOBERLY, Mo. – Two tractor trailers, one from Michigan and the other from California, died late Monday evening after a collision on a highway in rural Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the collision happened just after 11:55 p.m. on U.S. 24, about a mile east of Moberly in Randolph County.

A 2022 Kenworth tractor trailer was stopped along the highway, but part of the trailer was still blocking both lanes. A 2023 Freightliner tractor trailer smashed into the trailer of the Kenworth and also struck the driver, who was outside of the Kenworth at the time.

The driver of the Freightliner, 61-year-old Michael Fenner, and the driver of the Kenworth 31-year-old Kaysamual Blanks, were killed.
