Bipartisan bills to exempt low-income workers from St. Louis earnings tax

ST. LOUIS – The plan that would exempt low-income workers from St. Louis’ 1% city earnings tax goes before a Missouri House committee on Wednesday.

The bipartisan measure is from state representatives Steve Butz of St. Louis City and Jim Murphy of St. Louis County. The bills would also apply to Kansas City.
