Judge applications open for 22nd Circuit Court

ST. LOUIS – With the retirement of Judge Steven Ohmer, the 22nd Circuit Judicial Commission has opened applications for a circuit judge.

Those who are qualified are encouraged to apply. The following are the qualifications set by Article V, Section 21 of the Missouri Constitution, according to Ballotpedia:

Citizen of the U.S. for at least 10 years.

Qualified voter of the state for three years preceding the selection.

At least 30 years old.

Resident of the circuit for at least one year.

Those who apply must submit their full applications by 5 p.m. on Feb. 23. Interviews are expected to take place on March 27 and 28 in St. Louis. Interviews will be open to the public.
