1 dead, 1 critically injured in West End shooting

ST. LOUIS – One man is dead and another man is in critical condition after a shooting Sunday evening in the city’s West End neighborhood.

According to a spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, dispatchers received a call for a shooting just after 9 p.m. in the 5800 block of Cabanne Avenue.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a man in his 20s with gunshot wounds in an apartment in the block of Goodfellow Boulevard, which is just around the corner. The man was pronounced dead at the apartment.


Violent 24 hours in St. Louis with multiple deadly shootings

Police found a second victim, 24, on Cabanne Townhome Drive, suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The second victim was taken to a local hospital.

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.
