ST. LOUIS – Fog obscured the view of some St. Louis landmarks Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday morning’s commute could be a repeat of what some drivers experienced on their way to work on Wednesday morning.
“It was definitely foggy,” Simon Anderson, owner of Coach Harder Driving School, said. His school teaches students how to safely navigate vehicles in all conditions, including fog.
“The first thing we do when we’re getting into a vehicle is show students where all the safety controls are located,” Anderson said.

He said one mistake some drivers make is using their high beams when driving through fog.
“You’ll see less (when using your high beams) than having your low beams on,” said Anderson. He said low beams and fog lights are the best options.
Drivers are also encouraged to leave more distance between vehicles and use the reflective material on lane markers to help navigate. Anderson said if you can’t see the lane markers, it’s time to put on the hazards and pull over.
