Investigators suspect that a group of four people placed a firework inside the park’s library box prior to the explosion. The library box allows people to donate and take books for reading.

No injuries have been reported, and no arrests have been made in this case as of Thursday morning. The explosion reportedly caused some damages, but the extent of damage is unclear.

The Shrewsbury Police Department is asking for the public’s help with the investigation, requesting video from anyone who may have caught the reported incident on camera.
