ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a man was injured by gunfire while driving on Interstate 44 Monday.
According to police, a 38-year-old man was traveling northbound on I-44 by Park Avenue around 2:45 p.m.
He told police he had seen two cars erratically driving behind him when one individual pulled out a gun through the window and began firing. The victim said he felt pain before realizing he had been struck in the arm.
The 38-year-old was transported to the hospital for his injuries and has since been released.
