Missouri home featured in HGTV ‘Scariest House in America’

MISSOURI – A new HGTV series “Scariest House in America” will feature a Missouri home on Friday known for its paranormal activity and tragic history.

The Haunted Castle House located in Brumley, Missouri, has a history dating back to 1812 and an extensive list of owners including three doctors who frequently saw patients on the property. According to the Haunted Castle House, the home has seen the death of many patients, five of its owners and several children including a murder suicide just 500 yards from the property.

Now, the house will represent the Midwest in a new spinoff of comedian and actress Retta’s “Ugliest House in America.” The new series “Scariest House in America” debuted its first episode on Friday, October 4.

The series will feature Retta traveling across the country to tour homes known for paranormal activity and hauntings. Retta will award the most terrifying home at the end of the series with a $150,000 renovation.

“Scariest House in America” will feature the Missouri home Friday, October 11 at 8 p.m. Central on HGTV or on streaming platforms Max and Discovery+.
