Semi-truck driver dies in I-55 crash near Ste. Genevieve

STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, Mo. – A semi-truck driver died overnight in a crash on Interstate 55 near Ste. Genevieve, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

MSHP reports that Peter Brandt, 48, died in the crash. Next of kin has been notified.

The crash happened just after midnight Saturday in the northbound lanes of I-55 near mile marker 140.


Ladue woman hits sibling with car after being financially cut off from family: Police

A MSHP crash report states that Brandt’s vehicle went off the right side of the the roadway and struck a billboard sign. Brandt was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

No one else was involved in the collision.

MSHP Troop C, which covers much of the St. Louis region, is investigating the crash.
