CREVE COEUR, Mo. – A woman who worked as an in-home caregiver in Creve Coeur is accused of stealing nearly $142,000 worth of jewelry from elderly clients.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Allisha Robinson, 32, with two felony counts of stealing ($25,000 or more) amid the investigation.

Investigators suspect that Robinson stole jewelry and other items from at least two clients in Creve Coeur between April 13 and August 27.

According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, an 88-year-old victim told authorities that several items of jewelry, along with silver goblets and a silver dinnerware set, were stolen from her home. The total value of the stolen items was around $52,000.

Eventually, police reviewed fingerprint evidence from a cabinet and determined that Robinson’s prints were found there.

The second victim told authorities that jewelry was stolen from her home the morning after Robinson worked a night shift as a caregiver. Police suspect that Robinson stole more than $90,000 worth of jewelry from the second victim.

Robinson was later arrested and interviewed, but she made no admission related to the theft, per court documents. Authorities say, since then, she was contacted by phone and agreed to turn herself in, but has not done so as of Friday.

Authorities issued a warrant for Robinson’s arrest on Thursday. A bond review hearing in her case is scheduled for Friday. Authorities currently have ordered a bond of $250,000 upon arrest, according to online Missouri court records.
