ST. LOUIS – After another chilly start Thursday, warmer air will take over and stick around through the weekend.

Plenty of sunshine Thursday with highs in the low 80s in metro STL and upper 70s in surrounding areas. A weak cool front Thursday night could bring a few showers just north of the St. Louis region early Friday; think Keokuk, IA, to Springfield, IL, but our region stays dry.

Despite the front, highs will still be in the low 80s Friday. Saturday will be our warmest day of the stretch, sunny with highs well into the 80s.

Another cold front arrives Sunday. We’ll see a bit of a pickup in the wind but no rain. Temperatures will be a bit cooler Sunday, with highs back down around 80.

Cooler air really settles in behind the front Monday. Highs early next work week will be back in to the low to mid 70s. The St. Louis region continues to look dry through mid-October.
