ST. LOUIS – A teen was grazed by a bullet while walking with his family Monday in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shooting happened Monday near St. Louis and Prairie Avenues in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood of north St. Louis.
The 14-year-old boy says he was walking with his family when a black SUV approached them and fired gunshots in their direction, according to SLMPD.
Police say the teen was grazed in his back by the gunfire, and he and his family ran back to their home. EMS responded to the shooting and was able to treat the teen at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing. SLMPD asks if anyone has information on the shooting to call 911 or contact CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.
