ST. LOUIS – A second day in a row of record rainfall Monday, Lambert Airport picked up 2.63”.
The heaviest rain of the early week is wrapping up in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday. As the storm system departs to the east, a few lingering wrap around showers will be possible.
Clouds will hold on throughout Tuesday, with highs in the low to mid 70s. Some gradual clearing will begin Tuesday evening and overnight; wake-up temps Wednesday will be around 60.
The pick day of the week is Wednesday. Sunny skies and highs in the mid 70s. Thursday will start dry with increasing clouds and highs again in the 70s.

What is expected to become Tropical System Nine is forming in the Caribbean Sea. That storm system is expected to become a hurricane and track towards Florida by Thursday.
Rainfall associated with that storm is expected to move in our direction starting late Thursday and into Friday. Friday through Sunday has the potential to be another wet stretch, but we’ll watch the tropical storm development closely.
