ST. LOUIS – No injuries were reported after two vacant houses caught fire in south St. Louis early Monday morning.

The first fire happened around 1:30 a.m. on Dewey Avenue. Fox 2’s Nissan Rogue Runner Brian Howe was at the scene, and he spoke with neighbors who have reported squatters living in the house in the past.

About an hour later, around 2:30 a.m., another vacant house caught fire almost three miles from the first one. The fire occurred on Pennsylvania Avenue in the Carondolet neighborhood of south St. Louis. Firefighters fought large flames that engulfed the house and put it out.
