St. Louis weekend: Health fest, job fair, and blood drive events

ST. LOUIS – There are many events happening across the region Saturday.

Shalom Church is hosting a Health Fest at Hazelwood East High School as September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. The festival is free and runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If you’re looking for work in the medical field Affinia Healthcare is holding a job fair Saturday morning. They’re looking to fill medical assistant positions in their health centers. The fair will take place at their headquarters on 1717 Biddle Street from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

American Red Cross is hosting a citywide Sickle Cell Blood Drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity building located at 500 North Vandeventer. Also, don’t miss our on the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile! It’s in town today making stops at the Schnucks in Brentwood from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Then it’s off to the Schnucks on Gravois from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
