Large police presence after shots fired near Busch Stadium

ST. LOUIS – There is a heavy police presence near Busch Stadium Wednesday night after shots were fired involving two cars.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, shots were fired near Broadway and Market Street. One man inside a vehicle was grazed by a bullet but refused medical treatment.

Ameren is also on the scene, as it appears the vehicle struck a utility box along Clark Street, just outside Busch Stadium. Police say the man in that vehicle is a convicted felon and possessed a firearm, leading to his arrest.

The other vehicle involved in the incident fled the scene, traveling south on Broadway, according to officials.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage as they piece together the incident.
