ST. LOUIS – A debate has sparked online over a mural along the St. Louis riverfront.

The large, spray-painted piece depicts a person holding what appears to be a weapon of war, with the word Gaza behind them.

Some groups, including the Anti-Defamation League and the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, have condemned the mural, saying it promotes violence.

The artist insists she is not targeting any particular group, but instead expressing her support for the Palestinian people.
