Driver shot overnight on I-70 in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – A man was shot overnight on Interstate 70 in St. Louis while he was driving with three passengers.

The victim, a 35-year-old man, was shot around 3 a.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes of I-70 near the Adelaide Avenue exit.

Police found the car stopped on the side of the interstate a short time later. The driver told officers that someone shot at his car and later learned he was struck.

The victim was rushed to a hospital for treatment. He is considered to be in stable condition. There were three other passengers inside the car, but none of them were reportedly shot.
