BELLEVILLE, Ill. — Each month here on St. Louis 11, we will be awarding one local teacher with $500 from Weber Chevrolet to support their needs. This month, we have Aaron McCoy, a special needs teacher for Menta Academy in Belleville. He receives $500 for making a lasting impression with his students.

Aaron was nominated by his mother-in-law, who tells us: “I cannot say enough about Aaron, he is a special needs teacher at Menta Academy. His job isn’t the easiest and sometimes leaves him with bite marks, broken laptops, and constant disrupted class. Yet he has the patience and treats each student with caring respect. Not only does Mr. McCoy deal with special needs students but two years ago his own son was born with a syndrome that requires lots of hands-on attention. I can’t begin to tell you what an outstanding man and teacher he is.”

Aaron was recognized on St. Louis 11 and receives $500.00 from Weber Chevrolet.
