Fatal crash on I-70 near Jennings leaves one dead

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A woman is left dead after a driver was travelling on the wrong side of the road on Interstate 70 in Jennings.

The accident occurred a little before 2:15 a.m. Friday morning on westbound I-70, east of Jennings Station Road, involving a Chevrolet Trax and Chrysler 200.

The driver of the Chevrolet Trax was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-70 before striking the front left of the Chrysler 200.

The driver of the Chrysler 200, Latricia Robinson, 32, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet Trax was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

Westbound I-70 was shut down for an extended period of time as crews investigated the scene.

Both drivers were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
