FLORISSANT, Mo. – Police have identified the man who was killed after a car crashed into The Rice House Monday morning.
According to the Florissant Police Department, 52-year-old Richard Reed was waiting inside the restaurant to have lunch with his family just after 11:45 a.m. when an SUV slammed into the building, pinning Reed underneath.
A witness stated first responders performed CPR on the man at the scene, but there was a 10 to 15-minute delay before the ambulance left for the hospital.
Police have retrieved DVR footage to review the incident. They have not confirmed the cause of the crash and are continuing to investigate.
