ST. LOUIS – A heat advisory is in place for the metro area for the coming days. Highs are quickly getting out of control as a deep summer pattern evolves this week.

We are talking top temps near 100 degrees on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Heat indices will be between 105 and 110 degrees, so action may be required for schools.

Outside time should be limited during the peak heating hours between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. There is a front coming Friday that should break the big heat for next weekend.
