Jefferson County man charged in drive-by homicide

HILLSBORO, Mo. – A Jefferson County, Missouri, man is due in court on Friday morning for shooting and killing a St. Louis man in a county subdivision.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened Wednesday evening in the 2400 block of Lombard Lane.

Deputies found Tomothy Geitz dead behind the wheel of a vehicle because of a gunshot wound. Geitz was 43.


Parents charged after infant only fed goat milk, sausages, and Mountain Dew

Witnesses and others who were either in or near Geitz’s vehicle at the time of the shooting helped investigators identify Chaptur Wagoner, 20, as the alleged shooter.

Investigators believe Wagoner and Geitz knew one another, and the shooting was the result of an unspecified incident.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Wagoner with first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of armed criminal action. Wagoner remains jailed without bond.
