ST. LOUIS — A man is under arrest after police say he went on a two-year long retail theft spree. St. Louis Metropolitan Police say that Kevan Gage, 29, is facing eight counts of stealing. He is being held with no bond allowed.

Officers responded to a theft incident at Target on July 16, 2024, where surveillance footage showed a suspect stealing five video games valued at approximately $249. Target employees identified the suspect through a photo lineup, according to court documents. They say he is linked to thefts across various Target locations in the St. Louis City and County region.

Further investigation by police connected the Gage to thefts dating back to May 2022. These incidents included the theft of trading cards, a sweatshirt, a backpack, Bluetooth speakers, and Xbox controllers, all of which were captured on surveillance video. Gage was seen hiding items in his bag and leaving the store without paying in each instance.
