World’s oldest person, U.S.-born Spanish woman, dies at 117, family says

Spain’s Maria Branyas Morera, the world’s oldest living person, who was born in the U.S. and lived through two world wars, the Spanish Civil War and the COVID pandemic, has died at 117, her family said Tuesday.
