CARSON, Calif. – St. Louis CITY SC’s Leagues Cup run comes to an end with a 4-2 loss to Club América.
CITY carried a 2-1 lead until late in Tuesday’s game, though allowed three unanswered goals after the 79th minute.
CITY made it to the round of 16 in the Leagues Cup, a midseason tournament consisting of MLS and Liga MX soccer teams.
CITY resumes its 2024 MLS season on Saturday, Aug. 24 with a road matchup against the Portland Timbers.
