Man fatally shot overnight in St. Louis, homicide toll at 99

ST. LOUIS – Homicide detectives are busy in the city of St. Louis after an overnight murder Thursday morning.

Police received a call for a shooting around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday night on the 3600 block of Gravois, right on the border of the Tower Grove South and Gravois Park neighborhoods.

When officers arrived on the scene, they say they found an adult male who had been shot. Police say the man died from his injuries.

At this point, police have not released the name or age of the victim, just that he is an adult male. There is no word on a potential suspect or suspects.

This is now at least the 99th homicide so far this year in the city of St. Louis; that equals the amount for last year at this time.

At this point in 2022, there were 110 murders in the city and back in 2021, the city had 109 murders at this point in the year.
