ST. LOUIS – A Franklin County, Missouri, man appeared in U.S. District Court on Wednesday and admitted providing one of the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted with cash and other expensive items in order to have sex with an underage teen.

Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Theodore “Ted” J. Sartori Sr., 63, pleaded guilty to one count of traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.

Election results: August 6, Missouri primary

Sartori told the court that between winter 2013 and summer 2016, he gave Donald Eugene Fields II, 60, money, cars, motorcycles, vacations, and presents to have access to the 14-year-old victim.

Sartori will be sentenced on November 6. He faces up to 30 years in federal prison. As part of his guilty plea, Sartori has agreed to pay the victim more than $25,000 in restitution.

Meanwhile, Fields remains at large. He was indicted in 2022 but has yet to be apprehended.
