CLARKSON VALLEY, Mo. – A man died in a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon in west St. Louis County near the intersection of Trowbridge Road and Clarkson Road.
Traffic is closed in both directions of Clarkson Road near the scene of the crash as crews work to investigate and clear the scene.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. Tuesday on Clarkson Road. Investigators say a driver in a Chevy Malibu was heading southbound, but crossed over into the northbound lanes of Clarkson Road and struck a driver in a pick-up truck head-on.
The driver of the Malibu, a 26-year-old man, died in the crash. The driver of the pick-up truck suffered minor injuries. Authorities have not yet disclosed identities of anyone involved in the crash.
An accident reconstruction unit with the Chesterfield Police Department is handling the investigation. This is a developing story. FOX 2 will update as more information becomes available.
