UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. – The Market at Olive retail project is adding Target to it’s stacked lineup of brands.

The development team behind the Market at Olive, which covers both sides of Olive Boulevard between Interstate-70 and McKnight/Woodson Roads, announced Monday that Target purchased a 7.5-acre site next to Costco.

The new Target is set to be a 148,000-square-foot store, making it the largest Target store in the St. Louis area. A two-level parking garage will accompany to serve both the store and its customers.

“Target is a brand that aligns with our values, and we are excited to have University City as the home of the largest Target store in the region,” said Terry Crow, the Mayor of University City. “It has been incredible working with Bob Clark, Larry Chapman, Caroline Saunders and David Hutkin and their team in bringing this best-in-class company to our community.”

In addition to Costco, the new shopping center will join other popular brands in the Market at Olive, like Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane’s, Chipotle, 7 Brew, and much more.

It is currently unknown when the new Target will open.
